The First

Writing the first sentence is the hardest part of writing. It, after all, is the uncorking of the bottle that allows sweet wine to pour into the glass. We hope it's sweet. Most of the time it’s bitter. Most of the time it’s boring water. You can’t get drunk off of water. I also tend to get lost in the imagery of writing.  I mean, what the hell was this wine analogy? I may be doing that so I avoid writing anything worth reading. Cowardice.
